Initial infant evaluation

Initial infant evaluations typically take 90-120 minutes and include the following:

  • Review of maternal & infant history, including identifying concerns such as reflux, shallow latch, or breastfeeding pain.

  • Collaborative goal setting to identify your specific feeding goals.

  • Comprehensive assessment of oral motor function, sensory regulation, musculoskeletal concerns, head turn preference, head shape, and developmental milestones.

  • Feeding evaluation

  • Development of an individualized lactation and OT treatment plan to help you and your baby meet your feeding goals.

  • Development of a therapy program specific to your baby’s needs.

  • Pediatrician report and superbill available upon request.
